Swim Lesson Rules

Make ups/Credits
We do not offer make up lessons for missed classes. Program fees are non-refundable after the start of the session.
Class Cancellations
In the event that a class does not have the minimum number of participants Five Points reserves the right to cancel that class. We will then try to combine those participants into another class. If after a class is cancelled for lack of participants where a combination cannot be made, a refund will be processed.
Locker Rooms
Children over the age of five must enter the locker room with the same gender parent. It is highly recommended that you bring your child already changed in their bathing suit. This will help get them to class on time. A family locker room is available.
Showers
Before a participant enters the pool room they must shower to remove body oil, sweat,
lotions, deodorants, and perfumes and helps us keep the pool clean and reduce the chemicals in the pool. When the participant is finished with the lesson, rinse them off
with soap to get the chlorine off their skin and to prevent dryness.
Start of Class
We make every effort to start each class on time. For safety’s sake, if your child arrives
early, they should sit on the deck chairs with their parent or guardian until the instructor takes attendance. We require you to carry your receipt of the class with you on the first day for any issues regarding registration.
Please remind your child to use the bathroom before all swimming classes.
Parent Observation
You are invited and encouraged to observe your child’s swim lesson during the session.
When you observe the class please sit on the deck chairs– do not stand at the edge of the pool which is very distracting to the child and the instructor. Please do not allow siblings who are observing the lessons to stand, jump or crawl around the pool area. Also, please remember that food is not permitted in the pool area. Toys should be kept off the deck. Any obstructions on the deck could result in injury or the inability for a lifeguard to respond to an emergency.
Registration
It is very important that you sign your child up as soon as possible. Classes fill quickly
especially on Saturdays. Private lessons also fill quickly and space is limited. At
times we may be able to add private lessons however we cannot add children into a group lesson once it is full. We observe all ratios as described in our swim lesson descriptions.
Progress Reports
So you will know how your child is progressing, progress reports will be handed out
during the last week of the four (4) week session. Skills mastered and needing improvement as well as comments from the instructor will be included. Class levels are designed so skills will continue from those previously learned.
