Two twenty-minute halves will be played with a
running clock. The clock will be stopped only during time-outs or after a
technical foul has occurred. During the last minute of the first half and the
last two minutes of the second half, the clock will stop during dead balls.
Overtime periods will be 3 minutes long, with the last minute using stop time.

Teams are allowed 2 time-outs per half (60 seconds each). Players may call
time-outs on dead ball situations or when their team is in possession of the
ball. There will be no accumulation of unused time-outs during regulation.
Overtime period – each team receives one timeout.

No game will start with less than four players per team. The game will be
forfeited to the opposing team if players foul out and only three players are
eligible to continue the game. Games must start on time! Any team not on the
floor with at least 4 eligible players can pick-up a player that is not already
on another team roster to start the game, only if agreed upon by the other team
captain.

Players will call their own fouls. Any questionable calls will be decided by
the scorekeeper.

Free throws are shot the last minute of the first half and the last 2 minutes
of the second half, the clock will stop during this time. There will be an
automatic 2 shots given for all fouls except for a 3-point shot which will be
given 3 free throw attempts. Two free throws and possession of the ball will be
awarded on any intentional flagrant foul throughout the entire game. If any team
is ahead by 20 or more points, the clock will run continuously during free
throws. A free throw will be awarded on a made basket if a foul is called on a
shot and the shot is good.

Each player is allowed 6 fouls per game. On the 6th foul the player is out of
the game.

LOUD ABUSIVE LANGUAGE IS NOT TOLERATED. Technical fouls will be given to any
player/team swearing audibly determined by the scorekeeper. The opposing team
shoots two free throws and retains possession of the ball. Any player receiving
a 2nd “T” will be out of that game and asked to leave the gym for the night.

Unsportsmanlike conduct – flagrant fouls will result in a technical foul per
offending player and an automatic suspension/ejection of the offending players.
Suspension will be a minimum of the next scheduled game.

If a fight breaks out during play, the players involved must leave the
facility and will be out for the rest of the season. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS
(No refunds of league fees will be given)

The 3-point line is in effect: the scorekeeper will have the final decision
on any questionable shots as to whether or not they were behind the line.

Jump ball situations are on a rotating possession, starting with the team
losing the jump ball at the start of the game.

All players must be at least 18 years of age and sign the liability release
waiver. If a player is out for the season the team may add 1 player to the
roster.

All players signed up to play each night must be on that team roster to be
eligible to play. Players can be added up to the 2nd week of play. A non-rostered
player playing after the 2nd week, can/will result in a forfeit of that game. It
is the CAPTAIN’S responsibility to keep the rosters correct.

All players must check in with scorekeeper prior to start of each game.

No DUNKING – before, during or after any game.

Clean shoes are necessary to play.

Absolutely no arguing with the scorekeeper/official. Excessive arguing may
result in ejection.

Shorts must be tied. No undergarments shall show. Technical fouls will be
issued if this becomes a problem.

No hats, caps, scarves or dew rags are to be worn during games. Only
sweatbands will be allowed.

The scorekeeper will call 3-second violations. Excessive pushing, shoving or
talking in the lane will not be tolerated.

Team shirts must be worn by players during each game. NO EXCEPTIONS

No food, drinks or gum are allowed in the gym area. Drinking fountains are
available.

Five Points Washington staff reserves the right to disqualify any player or
team from the league due to unsportsmanlike conduct.

Any team found to be playing a game with a player not on the roster will be
issued a forfeit for every game in which the player has participated. All roster
disputes must be taken up with the Special Events Manager – Brian Garnant (309)
444-8222 ext 21.

Five Points Washington is not responsible for any injuries incurred while
participating in these adult leagues. All individuals should be commercially
insured.

A player who is bleeding, or has an open wound, or has an excessive amount
of blood on his clothes must leave the game and may not return until the
specific problem has been addressed.

The Special Events Manager has a right to enforce these and other rules
deemed necessary to provide a safe and quality league.
