Join your neighbors and friends in a joyful symphonic celebration of the opening of the Caterpillar Performing Arts Center at Five Points Washington. The Peoria Symphony will be on hand with a musical tribute with all of your American favorites: from Leonard Bernstein to Aaron Copland, from Leroy Anderson to John Philip Sousa, from Duke Ellington to Glenn Miller and back again with Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman. You’ll hear a special choral group led by WCHS choral director Lara Reem and assembled from talent in Washington and surrounding communities in a moving rendition of Shenandoah, and in stirring patriotic classics alongside the orchestra. Bring your cheering talents and a virtual mitt for a symphonic baseball game, and get ready to “Sing, Sing, Sing”!
