Swim Team Special Update and Announcement
Swim Team evaluations for swim group placement will be held at the PAWW Central Park Pool location, August 21-23. Kelly Dexter, Communications Director for PAWW will coordinate times for swimmers to be evaluated. If they can’t make those dates, we will offer other dates and times as well. Swim Team evaluations are mandatory before you can complete your registrations. Kelly Dexter is the point of contact for families that need to schedule a different evaluation time or for any other additional questions. Please contact her at email@example.com.
If you’re a first time visitor, Five Points will be offering a competitive swim team from September through March. Registrations open on August 20th.
For returning swimmers, thank you for supporting our first competitive swim team in our 2017-2018 season! We hope the experience was a positive one for your child. We certainly learned a lot from last season and we were happy to get to know the families that came aboard. The next competitive swim season is fast approaching and there is a change that we need to inform you on. Five Points has formed a partnership with Peoria Area Water Wizards. The PAWW collaboration will provide additional resources needed to consistently deliver a quality swim team experience for our local swimmers at Five Points.
The competitive swim team will still exist at Five Points but operate under the PAWW organization. The swim season will remain the same as well as the practice times you grew accustomed to with an additional Wednesday practice time. We know you may have questions so we have provided information from Mike Dexter, PAWW Inc. Board President to cover all of the details of the PAWW organization and swim team. You can also reach Mollie Wright, Aquatics Manager of Five Points at 309-444-8222 x24 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
