FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 14, 2007 PEORIA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO PERFORM AT FIVE POINTS WASHINGTON The Peoria Symphony Orchestra will perform a joyful symphonic celebration during the grand opening of Five Points Washington. The musical tribute will consist of American favorites from Leonard Bernstein to Aaron Copland, from Leroy Anderson to John Philip Sousa, from Duke Ellington to Glenn Miller and back again with Tommy Dorsey and Benny Goodman. As part of this amazing evening, area singers will sing live with the orchestra. This special choral group led by Washington Community High School choral director Lara Reem and assembled from talent in Washington and surrounding communities will perform a moving rendition of Shenandoah and stirring patriotic classics alongside the orchestra. Bring your cheering talents and a virtual mitt for a symphonic baseball game and get ready to sing, sing, sing! Show starts at 6:30 PM, October 14, 2007.
