Throughout the year, we have chosen to partner with local organizations to either donate needed items, volunteer time, and provide programs and services that enrich and benefit all ages. Five Points Cares Community Outreach
CENTRAL ILLINOIS INTERMEDIATE LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM
Five Points hosts the life skills program each month, so far the program has used the aquatics center and taken a body flow class. Our mission is to give each child the opportunity to further build and use everyday motor skills and for them to have fun!!
3/7/20 NUTRITION WITH A GIRL SCOUT TROOP
A group of 9-10 year old girls will come for an overview of the importance of exercise and nutrition, as well as a talk on body confidence.
3/16/20 RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE
Each month on a designated Monday, Five Points Washington offers space for the American Red Cross to do their blood drive in our event center space. On 4/13/20, we will be hosting the next blood drive.
3/17/20 SPECIAL OLYMPICS BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT
The Five Points management team will be working with HISRA of Central Illinois and local high school students as volunteers for the March Madness Special Olympics basketball tournament. For more information on HISRA and how you could help visit: hisra.org
METHODIST WELLMOBILE AT FIVE POINTS
The Wellmobile will be at Five Points every third Tuesday from 9:00-11:00 AM. This service is a consumer education program designed to promote healthier living in our community. It brings free or low-cost screenings throughout Central Illinois. Caring and trained staff members provide education on healthy living, early detection of disease, disease prevention and more. It is our hope that patients and physicians use our services to monitor the improvement of results during dietary, lifestyle or medication changes. Services include: Blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose, and spirometry (lung function) are also included with these screenings.
FAMILY SWIM SUNDAYS
On every Sunday in February from 2-6 pm, enjoy swimming in our
Aquatics Center for $3.00 for kids (3-12) and $5.00 for anyone 13 and up, kids under 3 are free! Families can enjoy our warm water during the cold Sundays of February.
3/26/20 DINE TO END MS DINNER & DANCE EVENT
MS PLC (Patients Leading Change) is hosting a special fundraising event called DINE TO END MS DINNER & DANCE EVENT. The March 26th fundraising celebration will provide dinner by Bernardi’s Italian Restaurant, Music by the Original Skazz Band, and Tito’s Vodka drink specials. Get your friends and get a table today to help raise awareness and funds for the MS cause. The dance floor will be open, raffle and silent auction. It will be a great night at Five Points Washington’s Event Center. 3/7/20 CENTRAL GALA
Central Gala is hosting an event at Five Points. The Gala supports Central School District. The Central Gala is used to raise needed funds to help with teacher grants and support the wish list and items needed at District 51. The gala has helped raise over $104,000 over the last 3 years.
4/4/20 AQUATIC EASTER EGG HUNT
Come and enjoy our annual Aquatic Easter Egg Hunt. This has been a beloved long running tradition among families in the community each year. Children aged 2-12 and their families can come and enjoy the event for $5.00 for members and $7.00 for nonmembers which includes participation in the event, a goodie bag, and free open swim. Participants will be divided into age appropriate groups in our warm water pools. Information on registrations to come!
4/4/20 SQUAT FOR the Dax Foundation
Our Personal Training team will be doing another fundraising event on Saturday April 4th at 12:30pm. This time we will be doing a squat event to raise funds for the Dax foundation. Come help us support a great cause by joining us in the Squat for the Dax Foundation. There is a $10 entry fee to participate. 100% of the proceeds go to support the Dax Foundation. 4/21/20 MORNING MOVIE, MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS
Enjoy this great classic movie starring Judy Garland. The show is FREE for seniors, 62 plus or $2 admission. The show is offered in our Caterpillar Performing Arts Theater at 10am. Concessions available. Theater doors open at 9:40am, movie at 10am. See you at the movies!
Next movie is on June 16th, Disney Pixar’s UP.

4/25/19 WASHINGTON COMMUNITY CLEAN UP
Join Five Points Washington staff, the Washington Park District, community officials, and citizens in a city wide clean up. This is a great opportunity to help us beautify the city!
6/15-6/20 CARDBOARD BOAT RACE
Join us as we host our second cardboard boat race in our Aquatics Center! This event is sure to be loads of fun for all! Families or small teams can register to build a boat out of cardboard and race it relay style across our competition pool! This event will be a great way to bond with your children, or friends in a friendly competition and to use your imagination and creativity building a boat! Supplies will be provided and teams will have a week to design and build their boats and we will race in the morning on the 20th! The winners will receive a prize!! Pricing and registration information to come!
