Meet the Private Swim Lesson Instructors and submit an electronic request

Not sure which instructor to request? At the bottom you can submit an electronic request and you will be paired with an instructor.

We have very limited daytime and mornings openings. If you would like a morning or daytime instructor, you may be placed on a waiting list.

When there are many requests, it may take some time to find an available instructor, especially if you indicate a limited availability. Currently due to a high volume of requests, there is a 1-2 week waiting period before you are paired with an instructor.

All of our private lesson instructors also are on the rotation to teach group lessons. If your lesson is scheduled on a Tuesday/Thursday evening from 5:00-7:15 PM or Saturday mornings from 9:00-11:15 AM your lesson could be subject to be rescheduled for another day or time if your instructor is needed to teach group lessons. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
**Instructor availability is subject to change.

**See our seasonal instructors at the bottom of the page!!

Abby Hilst

I recently graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from ISU and currently teach in Peoria.  I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to teach swim lessons at Five Points. I’ve been fortunate to work with an endless amount of terrific children and families. I swam competitively since the age of six for several local swim teams. I was an assistant coach for the Water Warriors and Metamora Area Swim Team. I’ve volunteered for HISRA’s Special Olympic Swim Team, I’ve taught at several facilities where I have worked with all ages and all skill levels! I have a lot of incredible experience working with children with special needs and view swimming as an essential skill to have for all learners. I am still just as much a student as I am a teacher in the water. I am constantly learning new ways to help others feel safe in the pool.

I am also available to teach special needs lessons. I truly believe swimming is a skill everyone should learn. Aubrey Edwards

I believe being a strong swimmer is one of the most important skills to learn at some point in a person’s life. I learned to swim at a young age, and quickly learned that it is a fun activity and a great way to exercise. I work well with kids and adults of all ages and I hope to get to know you and/or your child so swim lessons can be comfortable and fun!

Aubrey has no openings.

Bridget Huizenga

I have always loved swimming, and think it is a very important and useful skill to learn. I am able to teach beginner to early intermediate swimmers. I am also able to teach children with special needs. Growing up I played many sports so I understand the time, dedication, and patience it takes to learn new skills like swimming. I would love the opportunity to teach your kids all the wonders of swimming.

Paige Witte

Swimming is something I’ve always found joy in. Whether it’s going to a pool with my friends or swimming to get a great workout. I love to work with beginner to early intermediate children (6 months to 7 years old) because at these ages you get so many “ah ha” moments when the child masters the skill they have been working on. I have been a runner all of my life so I understand that skills have to be repeated in order to master them in the correct way.

Paige is available. click here to request lessons with Paige

Regan Bell

I am a student at Washington Community High School. I swam for both Washington Water Jets and Docs. I feel swimming is an important skill to have for the safety of children and helps build a strong athletic foundation.  I love teaching kids ages 2.5 to 9 at a beginner and intermediate skill level. I have always loved the water, and I am excited to help others feel the same! It is exciting when a child overcomes their fear of water. I really enjoy working with kids, and I know working with kids will always be a part of my life. I am available on evenings and weekends

Regan is available on Thursday evenings. Click here to request private or semi-private lessons with Regan!
